Diseases and health problems are something we cannot fight with all the time. If, we as human beings can fight all diseases, we will see a significant decrease in death rate. So when we fight at times we win and at times we lose. But it doesn't mean that we must stop fighting against diseases rather we must try everything that we can to get rid of the diseases and health issues.

1- Never miss your medicine. Take your medicine as prescribed by your physician. Missing your medicine for a single day can be very dangerous.

2- Reduce your weight if you are overweight. 90 percent of the high blood pressure patients are overweight. This is because if you are not overweight, there is no way that you will suffer from high blood pressure. Blood vessels get blocked making it hard for blood to travel, thus heart has to pump harder to push blood throughout the body resulting in increased blood pressure. So what you need to do is try reducing your weight which is not a piece of cake.

3- Join a gym and do exercise. But it is strongly recommended to consult your physician before doing exercise or intensive exercise because most of the times, these patients cannot afford to put extra pressure on their heart, thus they have to stay away from exercise especially if their heart is weak.

4- Make sure that your body is involved in any kind of physical activity for instance, running, jogging or perhaps walking.

5- Stay away from salt and sodium. We all know that salt and sodium are not good for these patients but it is something that has to be followed very strictly. Make a list of all those foods that carry salt and/or sodium, and paste it in your kitchen so that you see it every time before eating anything.

6- Always read the ingredients before buying anything. Almost every single canned food contains sodium. You must avoid using sodium or if you are using any canned food just make sure that you do not take too much of sodium.

7- This sounds to be very general tip but it is very effective, use fruits and vegetables as much as you can. Yes, it does make a difference especially if you are overweight.

8- Avoid using fatty foods. There is no room for fatty foods in your life if you are overweight.
