It reduces the level of the stress hormone cortisol. It stimulates the metabolism and increases the brain functions. Drinking it reduces the risk of diabetes type-2. It has a high magnesium content. Magnesium is a water-insoluble mineral that helps to reduce the severity of asthma attack. It has a considerable content of Vitamin B1 or thiamine. Thiamine is a water-soluble vitamin that enables the body to use its carbohydrate intake for energy-use.
